In this new lockdown, it’s easy to lose inspiration and drive to the normal things that we do so it’s important to have a plan. Effective planning can result in growth but however, it’s not enough just to plan and set goals, what’s more important is for us to make it happen. One of the best ways that you can build relationships online is to add value to other people and if you go out there, I think it was Zig Ziglar said is you know you’ll get what you want. When you help enough other people get what they want. And I think that that’s a really key statement and it really does work. So, if you look at your business and you look at how you can go out there and provide some education to the marketplace and how you can help some people overcome their challenges, what you’re going to find is a very quickly is you’re going to gain an audience and you’re going to gain a client loyalty, and from that client loyalty you’re going to start to get people that want to work with you and you’re going to generate more lazy and generate more business I think a lot of people. Why are they not doing well why nothing is a massive fear, something called lots of people got fear about going out there and sharing their opinions or they’ve got a fear about going out there and try and add value and they’re worried about what someone might say or they’re worried that they might not come across perfectly. Or, and they’re worried about all these different things. But what I would say too is, there are a lot of people out there, whatever it is that you don’t need your help in some area. And if you take it upon yourself to go and help them not only you’re gonna help them but you’re going to help yourself. And it’s becoming a must, not should, you know, and it’s like, oh I really should do this or I should do this or they should do that. You don’t do those things that you should do you do the things you know you must do. So we want to work on what is it that must be doing what is it the thing that you’ve been avoiding, and we want to create that discipline and go out there and do it and have a lot more to share.

Well, no problem Jane let us know what you need some help get nice and specific for me. Tell me what areas that you struggled on and then we’ll work from there and if you sign I definitely must follow my 30 day plan so one of the other things we did on Monday and Wednesday.
My goal to 03:22 is I showed him a formula for effective planning, and it was actually really powerful. We did first group on Monday with did the second group on Wednesday, and we’ve all come to a point where we’ve split the group groups into two different groups depending on the size of their businesses, and where they’re at professionally, and both groups came up with some incredible plans, you know, got their goals set out, got really clear on what it was they wanted to achieve and more important understood the why behind why they want to achieve it. I think that is absolutely the key.
So let’s talk about planning just for a minute. Let’s say that you want to over the next four weeks have a productive four weeks there so that you want to accomplish on your goals so that you don’t want to feel lethargic, or you don’t want to feel like you’re not getting stuff done. You actually want to feel like how many of you want to feel like a winner in lockdown. Go uncommon winner for me in the in the comments and I’ll save if you want to feel like a winner in lockdown. You know the first part of winning is effective planning; we need to create an effective plan of how you’re going to win. Don’t expect to win, unless you plan to win. Right. And I think that’s really important because if you plan to win. You can almost guarantee that you will win. Right, and all effective growth comes from good planning, and I was going through this with both of these groups this week I was showing them that it’s not just enough to set a goal. It’s not just enough to plan the action steps towards the goal. It’s not just enough to set the deadlines, but it’s actually tap into why you want to do it, because if you’re setting yourself a task or things that you want to accomplish but you haven’t got the passion there to accomplish it. And you can’t find the drive in yourself to accomplish it. Then that means you really going to struggle, you’re really going to struggle to 05:11 might not happen.
So one of the things that you want to do is when you go and you set this goal, this task, this thing that you’re planning towards doing is make sure you write down the reasons why you want to do it, because if you write down those reasons why, so this is the goal. This is what I want to achieve and these are the reasons why I want to do it, the more reasons that you come up with the more committed, the more obligation you’re going to build in yourself. Now a lot of people, and I totally agree, I think by coaching is one of the most powerful things can change a person, you know, it’s what I do. It’s why I’m in this industry because I know how effective it can be and because I love it right. And because he’s made such a big impact on me but there’s some people out there that can’t afford coaching right. And if you can’t afford coaching or you can’t afford to get accountability you’ve not got right mentors around you know got the right circle around you know got the right people around you, then even you got to find a way to do that number one or secondly, you’ve got to get used to increasing your discipline and holding yourself accountable, and one of the great ways to do that is to understand what your purpose is what you’re right is what’s driving you and the reasons why you want to do the thing that you said that you’re going to do that you set out to do, and start to hold yourself accountable and I’ve done that for many years and I’ll always write this down.
So I write down the goal that I want to accomplish I write down the reasons why I must accomplish it what is going to help you to do, who is going to help me to help what’s going to help me to achieve and get myself in that mindset for really getting tapped into this goal. 06:39 and after that, then I’m going to go right. Okay, I know what I want to do. I know why I want to do it. Now let’s make a plan towards how we’re gonna do it. And that’s what I’m going to write down like step one step two, step three, step four, step five, step six, step seven, and I’m going to go through the process in order what I need to do in order to make it happen. And somebody’s like well I don’t know, I don’t know what to do with you don’t know what to do. That’s where you can use this forum to ask questions, you can do it on the lives and that’s what I recommend you do, just be a bit specific for me so you know somebody who said I want to help them on social media ads or want to help them this or want to help them that. Be a bit more specific inside 07:16 I’ve tried this I’ve tried to do that. How do I do this etc, etc. The other thing that we’re doing is we’re gonna be running business connect, I personally am running business connect on Monday.
So you can come join me on business connect, and that’s where we do a full line, a full planning session and we help you and it’s free and it’s awesome. So you can do that so after we’ve got that those kind of steps are what we’re going to do you want to then start working on your deadlines, like, what time and date you can do this but I want you to do this when you’re going to do that and start to get used to holding yourself accountable. And the final part, and when we’re doing this in massive detail this is a bit of a skim over but it gives you some direction. If you’re not there, you’re not a part of it, it can give you a bit of direction. And the final thing is, is actually getting used to understanding your success metrics. And what I mean by success metrics is a lot of people set out to do something, see this all the time. Right? And look, I’ve been guilty of this myself like massively. You go and accomplish new things you go and you know things start to really work for you and if you work really hard. Eventually you exceed your goals and sometimes that takes a year sometimes that takes 10, you know, depending on what your goals are, but eventually you exceed them and you forgot that you exceeded them and you forget to ever give yourself a pat on the back where you forget to acknowledge that you have created the success that you wanted to create whether it’s a small success, wherever it is a big success.
And one of the things you want to do is start to get clear on your success metrics and what that means is if you complete this goal. What does it look like at the end? But how do we know that he’s succeeded in this area. And I think that’s really important because if you if you need to write that down. Because a lot of people don’t recognize that they succeeded. So for example, you know this type if here’s an example she was with me the other day, you know, she wanted to get a webinar up and running right and what happens is I want to go into my relationships webinar or what have moved in the same or, or any 09:10 cloud, all of our clients now are out there. So all of them a lot of our clients are out there educating using live video growing their businesses, communicating with more people because they’ve had the training right, but their first goal will be what I want to get my webinar done I want to get my presentation done I want to get this sorted I want to get that sorted. And by the time they’ve done all that they’ve run their first webinar which happens pretty quickly. they forget to acknowledge that they did what they said they were going to do, and instead they’re like, oh yeah well I want to make sure that I do this, I want to get this many people on my train, and I want to help this many people, and they’ve already moved past the fact that they create success in the first place. So we’ve got to remember what success looks like to us, each step of the way in each stage, because what that will do for you. Is it will build a confidence and a trust in yourself. And once you start to build a confidence and trust in yourself, that’s when you start to become unstoppable. You become unstoppable. You start to trust yourself. You start to know that you can accomplish things, you start to believe in yourself more, you start to become more independent, you start to feel more powerful, and then you can know you can take on bigger, more complex tasks do things faster, get things completed better and get yourself in a much better situation, much better position and create some better results. So set those success metrics is really important that you see yourself succeeding, you acknowledge yourself succeeding. I think that’s really important.
And the next thing that you know I want to talk about is blocks for everyone. Over the course of whether it is this lockdown or whether it’s the longer term whatever way you’re looking at it is you’re going to have a lot of ups and downs, you have a lot of blocks, and you’re going to have things that come up. You’re gonna have times that come up where your disciplines lacking a little bit, you’re gonna have times that come up where you get distracted, you know, times especially if you’re working from home is like, okay, you know I’ve done a couple of hours work, I want to do this now and you’re going to fall, potentially into some danger areas and one of the things I would encourage you to do is really to monitor your habits and really look at your discipline, over the course of the next 30 days and hopefully create new habits for the future. And if there’s certain things that you really enjoy doing that you haven’t had the opportunity to do as much. And now you’ve got the opportunity because your home or wherever your circumstances have changed, start to set some times and some awards and stuff for yourself and push them out a little bit further, because you’re going to look forward to more and keep your focus on ways you’re trying to achieve remember your purpose and move forward with that because I think that’s really important that you keep your discipline, and you get a good understanding of what those blocks might be.
